CORPORATE

General Motors and Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industry Machinery (Tengzhong) have entered into a definitive agreement for Tengzhong to acquire HUMMER, the U.S. premium all-terrain vehicle brand.

·         The brand transaction remains on track for conclusion in early 2010.

·         The sale of HUMMER will preserve more than 3,000 US jobs.

·         HUMMER will remain a US-based premium all-terrain brand after the company’s sale.  Manufacturing will remain in the US, with the global headquarters located in Southeast Michigan.

HUMMER offers a comprehensive 4-year/50,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and 5-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty, backed by GM.

 

CAPABILITY

HUMMER vehicles offer the best combination of off-road capability and on-road premium performance.

·         Every HUMMER model features all-time 4wd and a two-speed transfer case, providing surefooted transportation in all weather and all terrain.

·         The H2 features a standard rear locking differential

·         The H3 Adventure features an aggressive 4:1 transfer case, 33-inch tires and the only available front- and rear-locking differential in its class.

 

AWARDS

The HUMMER H3T Alpha was recognized for Off-Road Ability in Popular Mechanics Automotive Excellence Award and was a Pick-up Truck of the Year by Four Wheeler Magazine.

 

The H3 Alpha was named a Four Wheeler of the Year by Four Wheeler Magazine and Best in Class Hardcore 4×4 by Truck Trend. 

 

The H3 Alpha was the first stock class vehicle to finish the 2007 - 2009 Baja 1000, beating Dodge Rams, Ford F-150s, F-150 Raptor-R and other stock vehicles.
